Round And Round We Go. GRACE OF THE SWAN
Sitting and watching the swan I notice, In the water graceful is its glide. The beauty of a perfect lotus, Its feathery wings by its side. On the water it performs a ballet of the stream, Perfectly balanced a ballerina of nature. Holding its head high with natural esteem, The grace of the swan remains pure. Dorothy E. There was an angel so tiny and wee. You had to have a magnifying glass to see. Yet this angel was so precious to the Savior. Her heart was only good and pure. All the other angels were envious of The Savior's love. They worked hard, their toils were mighty, laboring above. The Littlest Angel could be heard with the most beautiful voice. Jesus was so proud of his littlest angel, a special choice. She was barely a flower petal tall, Performing any duty asked in her master's call. The other angels accepted The Littlest Angel, giving her a special name. She was in charge of carrying a torch God’s spiritual flame. There was an angel so tiny and wee. You had to have a magnifying glass to see. Yet this angel was so precious to the Savior. Her heart was only good and pure. Dorothy E. Scott © Copyrighted 2015 Little Bits Of Verse Love Love Love
Love to play with my dolls, my family. Outside I play under a leafy tree. Very happy I am to be with my mommy. Every day we make a new memory. Learning to ride my bicycle, I can peddle a fast ride. Oven is ready heated for next cake, my hands flours the bowl side. Variety of flowers I am picking, all smell so sweet inside. Eagerly I await my next day of school with pride. Life is a great way. Oh I love to run and play. Vault full of love is never stored away. Each new rose is a beautiful array. Life is very precious, one of love love love. Jesus holds my hand tightly from above. His tail has many burrs, I have to carefully comb. He picks up everything on his yard roam. Oh Me! Hes supposed to be the color of brown spots on white. He's almost black, what a terrible plight. Be still my puppy just one sticker and I'm through. Stop your whining, I know you're blue. Off to bath time we will hurriedly go. Soon you will again be as white as snow. In the tub my doggy, you will be shampooed. Mama is helping, this bath time you can't elude. Dorothy E. Scott © Copyrighted 2015 Little Bits Of Verse PLEASE MR. GROUNDHOG
Please Mr. Groundhog, Say you are going to close winter's door. My cold feet can't take much more. I want to go outside and play. Without a coat, I want to stay. That cold makes my nose an icicle. I can't even ride my little bicycle. I want to run through the grass. Outside the sidewalk is slippery as glass. I don't want to sled in the snow like before. It's not fun in this cold anymore. So Please Mr. Groundhog Did you see your shadow today? Are you going to take winter away? Please Mr. Groundhog, Say you are going to close winter's door. My cold feet can't take much more. I want to go outside and play. Without a coat, I want to stay. Dorothy E. Scott © Copyrighted 2015 Little Bits Of Verse |
THE PERFECT PET
I went to the pet store to find the perfect pet for me. In many cages were many animals, as far as could see. I wanted a gerbil; Mom shook head, No! A hamster wouldn’t eat much. I told her so. Shaking her head, I pointed to a ferret. Again her reply was “No,” so I looked at a parrot. Another shake No, I saw a rabbit. Mom said “No!” In an apartment has nasty habit. I went to a large aquarium, a baby shark gazed at me. “No!” Mom said as pulled my hand from the glass, hastily. There were many colorful fish and snails, I couldn’t cuddle at all. I spied a large python sitting in his cage against the wall. Mom shook her head, No! I moved on to where little white mice peeped at me. There were so many perfect pets, Mom just couldn’t see! Mom steered me to another section in a hurry. As I passed by in a little wooden house, I saw a large rat scurry. Steel bird cages held parakeets, the color of green, blue, and yellow. Mom shook her head saying “That’s not the perfect pet for you, No!” In a small cage I saw a cute little white poodle puppy. His hair was curled, immaculately groomed not scruffy. Mom shook head “No! We moved on to a cage with little kittens, sleeping. I saw one little white one with black spots, peeping. Mom smiled saying, “ Yes, go ahead pick out one.” I was so happy, choosing the white kitten, the battle won. Taking the little kitten home, I bathed her, then we were both fed. Tired from my quest for the perfect pet, we both went to bed! Dorothy E. Scott © Copyrighted 2015 Little Bits Of Verse Little Butterfly
On my rosebush Little Butterfly. I see you landing each day then away fly. You are so beautiful, a body of rose milk. Your wings are so nimble, color of corn silk. What have you seen in the world today? Little Butterfly, Lets have a talk about your natural sway. Little Butterfly, Is that nectar so sweet? I think being a butterfly would be so neat. Oh my Little Butterfly, Is it time to again go? Tomorrow we will meet the same place, I know. On my rosebush Little Butterfly. I see you landing each day then away fly. You are so beautiful, a body of rose milk. Your wings are so nimble, color of corn silk. Dorothy E. Scott © Copyrighted 2015 Little Bits Of Verse MANY WAYS TO SAY HELLO
There are many ways to say hello. Smiley faces on jiggly jello. A smile to light up the day. Your pretty face on display. A card with the words, "I love you." Specially drawn with your loving, true. Portraying a special warm heart, Is another compassionate start. There are many ways to say Hello! All the hugs given, the greatest show. A kiss to remind of the care felt inside. My hair is all curled, I'm ready to go. Mommy has a picnic basket ready I know. She has prepared it with potato salad, fried chicken, and even an apple. With my prettiest jeans I look very dapple. I have tied my sneakers, they are barbie doll red. Wearing my Pokemon t-shirt instead. Today Mommy and I are visiting the park. I hope we stay all day, come home at dark. She pushes me on the swings up high. I can stretch my small feet out almost touch the sky. Mommy and I have a fun day planned food and all. Please Mr. Storm Cloud don’t let rain fall. Dorothy E. Scott © Copyrighted 2015 Little Bits Of Verse A Kitten For Me
I went to a store for a friend for me. Many different pets did I see. There were puppies in a cage, being fed. Many birds the shade of blue, yellow, green, and red. Scary snakes were peeking in a glass. Little mice and hamsters, playing in yellowed grass. Lizards, and other reptiles in a cage raring to fight. Variety of fish in an aquarium with a light. In a small cage was a Siamese kitten with the bluest eyes peeking at me. This was my choice I decided had to be. The sales lady opened the doors, my new kitty leaped in my lap. She felt right at home, quickly took a nap. I stroked her as I carried her out the door. I knew I had found my friend forevermore. Purring me a tune, she was taken to her new house. I named my Siamese kitten, Sandy, as I handed her a catnip mouse. Dorothy E. Scott © Copyrighted 2015 Little Bits Of Verse |
